Interview with Chelsea Evans

Chelsea Evans (class of 2021) was a former Beautiful Social Research Collaborative consultant. Chelsea currently works at Canon Virginia, Inc. as a Corporate Communications/ PR Specialist. She creates content for social media, plans events, and communicates with all the departments.

I then asked Chelsea two questions. My first one being: “What skills or any notable experiences did you gain through Beautiful Social?”.

Chelsea said she was able to work on her social media skills through Beautiful Social. She had the opportunity to manage and create social media posts and send out emails marketing our event, the Women in Leadership Event. Chelsea said she does a lot of this in her current job, but on a much bigger scale. Chelsea also said she gained confidence talking to people in leadership positions through Beautiful Social.

Then, I asked Chelsea my second question: “What do you think Beautiful Social helped teach you about what you like or don’t like when looking at a company to work for?”.

Chelsea said it was a bit tough during her time with Beautiful Social because they were completely virtual. However, she felt everyone was very accepting and kind so she was able to be open and be herself. Chelsea said she still was able to feel connected with her group even though they never met in person.
